Let’s Repeal the Bill of Rights
Mark Dice is at it again asking for signatures to a petition that would help to repeal the Bill of Rights. Mr. Dice is an interesting character and seems to be a bit out on the edge in terms of his personal beliefs. As a 9/11 Truther and an Illuminati conspiracist, Mr. Dice certainly takes paranoia to new heights.
Despite his personal beliefs, this video is simply sad and depressing. I totally understand that it is likely that if somebody is standing around in public with a clipboard, they are probably going to be able to get people to sign up or agree to almost anything, as long as they don’t have to think about what they are being asked. Save the whales? Sure. Stop environmental pollution? Sure. Develop a vaccine to stop alien mind control? Why not. Seek to ban Dihydrogen Monoxide? Absolutely. Repeal the Bill of Rights? Sounds good.
Our modern culture has devolved to a state of unparalleled apathy and disinterest in anything but the “self”. The self-absorbed, Kardashian-watching, American Idol voter with their nose stuck down in their smart phones texting their friends on which latte they are going to order at Starbucks has no time to be distracted with actual issues, like whether or not we should repeal the Bill of Rights, no matter that it wasn’t true. Just a few decades ago, I don’t believe that Mr. Dice would have gotten the same answers had he tried to get his petition signed. Thank God that at least one person was able to think beyond the next five seconds of his life and give an appropriate answer. The very last guy.
