The Gipper explains Socialism
This is an awesome animation! Socialism is dumbed down enough so that Barry can understand it.
Friedman Friday – Part 2
Today is the second installment of Friedman Friday here at King of My Blog. Last week was the first episode of the influential Free To Choose series hosted by famed economist, Milton Friedman in 1980. That episode, entitled The Power of the Market, kicked off the series and showed us how the free market is the most effective and equitable way to prosperity.
“The problem in this world is to avoid concentration of power – we must have a dispersion of power.” – Milton Friedman
**Note the very young Donald Rumsfeld

First Installment of Friedman Friday
A couple of years ago, I ran across the Free To Choose series that featured Milton Friedman, the famed Nobel-prize winning economist that espoused the free market and capitalism. Friedman was a real economist back in the day when winning the Nobel prize in economics really meant something (unlike the economist-turned-political hack Paul Krugman). With all of the economic quackery that is being practiced today, his voice is sorely missed.
It is with that idea in mind that I will be posting each of the Free To Choose episodes (all 10) each Friday. Each episode features an introductory portion where Dr. Friedman discusses a certain concept and then a roundtable discussion with supporters and defenders of his ideas. The videos can be found on YouTube and on the FreeToChoose.tv website. The Free To Choose series first debuted in 1980 on PBS (of all places) and became classics in conservative and libertarian intellectual circles. After watching an episode, you will know why.
“A society that puts equality before freedom will get neither. A society that puts freedom before equality will get a high degree of both.”
― Milton Friedman

More Krazy Krugman
On July 4th, the towering intellect of the progressive left Paul Krugman, decided to write an opinion piece entitled E Pluribus Unum in that bastion of liberalism, the New York Times. It was an opportunity for Mr. Krugman to
But of course instead of reflecting upon the spirit of liberty and individualism upon which this country was founded, Mr. Krugman proceeds to spout typical liberal screeds that are becoming like broken records.
Economist John Goodman encapsulated the main points of Krugman’s piece in an article entitled A Liberal View of July 4th. Goodman expounds on the highlights of Krugman’s article.
Goodman then goes on to eviscerate Krugman’s comments. It’s a thing of beauty. Take a quick read.
